Hi All!!
I sure have been busy!  I did the Toledo Craftsman"s Art guild show March 9 & 10 at the Stranahan theater in Ohio.    It was a new experience.  They are very strick on things and that is good but very different than I am use to.  I did  well,  made back my booth fee and a little more so that was good for a first time show and a spring show.  Did get some orders as well to be picked up at the show on April 20 at Tamoshanter in Sylvania Oh..
Lee and I have been enjoying some auctions and now it is time to get ready to sell some of the stuff.
We are taking a trip to Wisconsin this weekend to deliver some stuff he sold from his past business.  YYYYAAHHOOOO  A ROAD TRIP!!!! I AM READY TO GET OUT OF TOWN FOR A FEW DAYS.  OK over night!
Will add some pic's of the show later but gotta go to work but wanted to stop by and let you all know what has been going on.
Anybody need a sewing machine, a purse or an apron?  Give me a call /email I have them all for sale.

I did it finally I did it!
I open my Etsy Store.  I started it way back when, but now it is up and running with You guessed it Skirt Purses.  I hope I have the link right here so you can jump over and check it out.
On another note last night I made table covers for the Toledo Craftsman Guild shows coming up May 9 &10 and April 20. They require navy blue 100% polyester covers  fitted or wrapped like a gift .  Fitted for me is much easier,so I did it! I am really looking forward to these shows.  It has been a long time coming for me to feel I was good enough for these fancy smancy shows.  Lee has been so encouraging and with out him I probably would not be doing it now. Thanks Sweetie.

I am still learning how to do what I want here so bear with me.  Did I mention I like bears?  Lee got me an awesome "box" for Christmas and it is now full of bears.  They are so soft and cuddly (not as cuddly as Lee) Did I type that?? hehehe

Here is what is going on today!!

It has been a few days since I was here and LEE nicely "nagged "me to get this thing going so here I am.  Today I am trying to tie up some things that have been started so here are some pic's of what I am working on.  My son and I like to work on sewing machines so Lee and I have picked up a few and now it is time to move them out. In the pic's you will see 6 machines all in my living/kitchen area.  4 portables and 2 cabinets.  Still working on the JC Penney one and am keeping the lighter cabinet one .  It is a Necchi my very favorite brand.  I now have 3 and not willing to part with any of them at this time. The rest are for sale.  ANYONE NEED ONE?

I have been excepted in the Toledo Craftsmen Art Guild and am very excited, I have all the paper work ready to go.  The purses in the pic's will be there. First show is March 9 & 10 at the Stranahan (sp) in Toledo.  Come and check it out.

Well I added a couple pic's today so you can see some of what I do.  I am working on doing a poll about the difference in "ARTS" and "CRAFTS".   I saw it somewhere on here when I added the pic's so it should be here soon, well when I find it again, that is!  There is an issue/story behind the poll but that will be a post on its own.

Ok maybe I have this figured out now
I had hoped to be much farther into posting here than this but the last few days (weeks ) have been a little crazy.  Lets see it started with dropping an iron on my foot(not hot but heavvvvy) while I was doing a complete overhaul in the sewing room, the breaker for the back half of the trailer kept tripping so no electricity back there,then the water leak(the water heater was finally found as the source about a week into the mess), the outlet to the heat tape was full of water, so had to leave water running.  Just in case you don't know in a mobile home the water heater is in the closet behind a movable wall.  Remember I just did a COMPLETE overhaul in the sewing room.  Well you guessed it the water heater was in there. While all this is going on I had to go to Bowling Green and pull my stuff from the consignment shop(another story).  Had nice dinner with Walter and Kelly.  I also had a trip to Ann Arbor for an research eye study I am in.(another story)
Somewhere in there I did get 20 or was it 30 purses finished.
Today is put the house back together day!!  I can't wait to get it done so I can get back to sewing.

I decided to let you all know what this blog is going to be about.  I want to share my love of fabric and crafting.  Mostly upcycling clothing and of course whatever strikes my fancy at the time. Do you know what upcycling is? Well I am going to tell you either way.  It is a fancy word for recycling old used stuff into something better than it was before. It isn't just recycled into the same kind of usage, but it is transformed into something greater than it ever was.

You will eventually find some tutorials when I figure out for sure how to do them.  I  plan to share some patterns as well.  I am looking forward to comments from all who visit me here.
